Witchery OR Bitchery?
The Unhappiness
For my last episode of Fashion Ambush, I decided to film Witchery in ION. Witchery is an Australian brand that has come to our shores last April. Since it is a relatively new brand in Singapore, I thought it might be good for the viewers to know. But I was totally disappointed by the treatment me and my production crew received form the store manager who is an Ang Moh girl (or bitch)! We were filming some of their accessories and she just simply came up while the camera was rolling and commented crudely that the particular necklace we were introducing was wore wrongly!
Okay! The necklace has a chain attached to a look-like embroidered shoulder cape so you can actually wear it 2 ways- either the chain in front or at the back. In our show we always try to let the viewers know how you can wear one thing more than one way to utilize as much as you can. Before we could do that, she interrupted. Fashion is not electrical appliances, you do not need to read the instruction manual to know how to operate it! Fashion is all about individual interpretation. And guess what???? My co-host Ben Yeo saw her making faces to her colleague 'like this group of people are dumb and dun even know how to wear a necklace kind-of -look!'
Is she racist of what???? My whole MediaCorp production team felt so uncomfortable with her arrogance and attitude.
To the Aussie Ang Moh Girl
Darling! You are posted to Singapore to work so learn the way how the Asians work and not with your laid back Aussie attitude! Asians are very hardworking and warm people so stop showing your F**king attitude and racist face! Seems like you look really unhappy working here in Singapore or rather in an Asian environment, please quit your job or simply ask for a transfer back to Australia where u probably work less hard. You are just a store manager so don't throw your weight around like a fashion-know-it all cos you probably only know Flip-flops back in your country. I mean it's already sad that you have a F**k face but with an even more F**ker attitude, it makes you double F**ked!
The Consequences
I complained about her to the PR firm and they said that she is Aussie and Australians are like that. WHAT???? My Australian friends are no where near her in terms of looks, attitude & character! That is an insult to the better brought up Australians. In that case she should not work in Singapore or Asia. They were trying to pacify me by saying that the Aussie management team is actually very nice but too bad, this F**king bitch is front line staff and they have already failed terribly and hurt the brand image!
So I have decided to ban Witchery & their sister brand Mimco (also in ION) from all my editorial shoots, filming etc. I seriously don't think they deserve any publicity and I totally do not support brands that have a tendency towards racism.

No Happy Ending Massage!
I was in Johor Bahru (JB) for a day trip couple of days ago with a friend. We just wanted to have our lunch and dinner there. In between, she went for her facial in Holiday Plaza and I went for my traditional thai massage within the same building as usual.
This massage place is a hit with lots of Singaporeans who travel to JB. I mean they charge 50 Ringgit an hour or 95 Ringgit for 2 hours, isn't it cheap? You can't even do an one hour massage in Singapore with that amount but do not expect high-end spa quality and settings. It's absolutely a no frills place. The massage beds are just separated by curtains.
Since it's a no frills place and simply separated by curtains, I would expect patrons to be considerate by not talking too loudly and at least put your mobile phones on silent mode. To my horror, it's either they do not know how to set their communication device to silent mode or they just simply don't care! Their phone just keep ringing loudly and worst, they talk loudly too. And I know they are Singaporeans from their "Yah Yah! Lah Lah! Lor Lor!"
Don't they realize they are disturbing others and are totally not at the least embarrassed by it. Switching the mobile on silent mode is basic and if you really need to pick the call up, talk softly! I am absolutely disgusted by these Singaporeans who do not have public social etiquette.
Although my friends are telling me that the place is a no frills outlet and eventually will attract less classy people who have no manners. But Classy????? When have basic courtesy became a classy affair??? Isn't it a basic upbringing criteria?
To be honest, the Singaporeans are not the only ones, there were a group of Koreans guys & gals talking, laughing & giggling loudly as if the whole place belongs to them. What is there to be so funny going for a massage? As if Adam & Eve are massaging them naked? And if you ask me why I harp on Singaporeans and not the Koreans as much is because if we can't even have the basic right social etiquette ourselves, what right do we have to criticize people from other countries? Don't you agree?
The massage price was fantastic, the masseur was good but because of all these Made-In-Singapore noise pollution, it didn't end with a happy ending!

Catch Nat Ho
It's been a long time since I catch up with Nat Ho. He was hosting the Fullerton Bay Hotel party and we manage to sit down for some chats. Still looking very good or even better although he has officially left MediaCorp in June and have set up his own company (Seraph Media) to manage himself. I think he is very happy and doing very well now!
So PR firms, luxury brands, movie deals, singing contracts, artiste endorsements seekers, do take note; he is available for booking. His website www.seraph-media.net is currently still under construction but alternatively you can contact his manager, Eileen Lim at eileen.lim@seraph-media.net
If all the above contacts fail, you can also holler me and will forward you to him.
All the best to you Nat! :P

My New Flip MinoHD Camcorder
Received my new Flip MinoHD camcorder 2 weeks ago and am quite excited about it. Have been wanting to get myself a camcorder and Flip gave me one! Right timing! So I have decided to start a new blog for myself where all these gadgets will be useful for penning my memories.
The maker of Flip Video was acquired by Cisco in 2009 and the second generation of it's Flip MinoHD was launched and finally available in Singapore now. With it's sleek & stylish brushed metal finish, you can even personalized the cover with thousands of designs or can be custom designed by the user. The personalised skins can be done in Digiskin.
The Flip MinoHD is so handy for a camcorder which is on High-Definition. Not the usual chunky ones in the market for sure. It's approximately 100mm X 50mm X 15mm. Though it's small but it can shoot up to two hours of recording time! And it's so easy to use, just press the responsive touch-sensitive buttons - shoot, stop & play. Great for people like me who hates those complicated settings and reading the manual just to learn how to operate the device.
This device should be a hit with the social networking generation because it has also introduced the latest version of the FlipShare software which you can directly upload the videos to Facebook, Youtube, MySpace and other video sharing sites. How cool is that??? Just connect the built-in USB latch and upload my vidz. No more wires too!
You can get more information from www.theflip.com! If anyone of you are interested in getting one, just holler me and will try to hook you up with the Flip Team!
